Simply Wildflowers

While putting together the Wildflower series of prints it reminded me of the day we went in search of wildflowers to photograph. It was a cloudy and raining a little but not enough to keep the flowers closed. We found them along the side of road next to the hills and mountains.

Floral Photos for the New Year

Starting the year with flower photos that will become a series painted with hot beeswax.

B & W Wax Painted Flower Series

Working on a black and white flower series that I will mount on aluminum and paint with wax. They will

be so light weight and easy to hang on a wall.

Painted with wax ready to hang.

Whimsical Portraits

Whimsical portrait practice - the possibilities are endless. It's fun taking online classes and

learning what techniques and materials others are using and finding my own favorites along the way.

Grid Garden Girls

My interpretation of a class I took called grid girls. These are drawings of my garden girls that I added

watercolor then stitched them to vintage paper. I painted them with wax before adding them to my journal.

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life - Pablo Picasso

I discovered Jeanne Oliver's beautiful and inspiring online art classes. There are

so many talented artists and different classes no matter your experience level. Also, so many free

classes to choose from.   Spending time practicing art is a gift and brings so much joy.
