the season that awakens my soul

I'm not usually this anxious for fall but this was an extremely hot summer so I'm loving the beautiful 80 degree weather we have now. Even though the weather is warm there are hints of fall in the leaves and flowers. Zinnias doing amazing right now.

Double exposure of cosmos blooming like crazy.

Heavenly bamboo looking lovely with leaves changing to red.

The heros of winter the daffodils and paper whites coming in.

The holly has berries!

Not everyone thriving right now but I still love photographing these roses.

Hibiscus blooming so beautifully.

Flowers on Fabrics

I saw a post by designsponge on instagram showing repurposing florals by framedflorals it really sparked my interest since I always have flowers on hand to photograph. This is my first attempt of dying petals and flowers on fabric.

Escaping the Heat

A vacation to the beach is always welcoming to escape the summer heat. It was about 30 degrees cooler than home which was so relaxing. So much to photograph with the walks on the beach and walks to town.

So many beautiful flowers along Main St.

Gifts from my Garden

I am so happy and grateful for all the gifts from my garden each year.

Cherries! This year they are a little late usually the birds have them gone by the first of May.

Pears are growing they should be ready in a several weeks.

Wisteria blooming for the second time this season.

I just love the wisteria pods they are so cool soft life velvet and olive green!

Lots of plums even though we trimmed the tree down this past winter.

Peach tree but I couldn't find any peaches yet.

Hello Poppy Petals

Black and white study of the poppy petal. One of my favorite things about poppies are their wrinkled petals when they first open up from the bud.
