Creative Garden Photos Using Slow Shutter

I had some fun this weekend taking photos of flowers and succulents left in the garden 

using the Slow Shutter app.

 I added some textures to a couple images but most are straight off of my iPhone.

 I love the painterly look of the images.

 

Dahlias in August

Since I started photographing flowers about 8 years ago I have quite a collection of flower portrait folders on my computer in chronological order by year, month & date and type of flower. As I was looking through some of my folders the other day I noticed August is Dahlia month where I live so I quickly took a trip to Trader Joes to find Dahlias. I was so excited to see they had many colors to choose from! My catalogue of flowers has become a great resource to see what flowers will be blooming for the month.
